I think he used a guide on pelican parts if I remember correctly/ It was quite good article detailing all the parts he replaced with new. I can remember in an old issue of total911 a gentleman in UK rebuilt his 964 oil leaker.

It's time to put a bit of (Colini) stick about."Shall I open her up Miss Jones and show 'em a clean pair of heels?" "Do you think that's wise Mr Rigsby this is a very old car" You might need some expertise to decide what parts need replacing if that's not obviouse from the wear n tear.Ī few US owners on RL have done it and documented their workings Having seen these engines come apart I think if you have the space, the time (and patience) and a good guide its perfectly do-able. Silver 964 C4 sad and neglected, project for the winter, well maybe several winters!! Just wondered if anyone else had been there before and had any sage advice? Trying to keep the £££'s in order means having a go at things I believe I can do, body work and paint are for the specialists. I am busily reading a book on the subject (based on 3.2) but I understand the principles are the same?

I was an engineer in a past life and fancied having a go again at a rebuild? Did many in my younger days of mini's, escorts etc but nothing like the flat 6. Has anyone here rebuilt their own engine? My project car has completed 180k miles, bills show some head work and shells some time ago but it leaks oil worse than a grounded supertanker Posted: Thu 9:32 pm Post subject: DIY Engine rebuild?
